"Great Overnighter in Te Anau"

Reviewed 20th October 2015

We were greeted by a friendly and accommodating host and shown to our spacious and spotlessly clean room. The room had a kitchenette so we made use of it with food from the local supermarket. Can highly recommend this place to anyone planning on going to Milford Sound. Value for money wise and service wise it is top notch.

Very spacious unit with very obliging hosts. There is a small communal outdoor area for relaxing after a long days traveling. The location is close to the lake and the restaurants...  ...It is a beautiful town.

We had a great stay at Arran Motel in Te Anau. The room was spacious with a separate bedroom and a large shower. Very clean with a small kitchenette. Everything we needed was provided. Staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very good value for money. Very beautiful place to visit and stay on your way to Milford Sound.

"Spacious, clean and wonderful service!"

Quiet and peaceful with huge rooms and in a really convenient location (walk to town, shortcut to lake front). The owners are lovely! I left some of my things in the room and they called immediately and offered to drop them off at our next hotel (2 hours away) next time they're in town. Thank you for a lovely stay!!

"Plenty of room and great shower"

Our room was large and comfortable and lovely and warm. The kitchen facilities were very good and the suite was lovely and clean. The owner was very welcoming and upgraded our friends to a suite next to us. The motel is very close to the main street and we were able to walk to dinner each night.

"Wonderful Experience"

Reviewed 17th May 2015 (Joepilot H)

As in many of the places we stayed in NZ, we were greeted by a friendly staff that made us feel welcomed and provided local insights on attractions etc. The rooms were larger than average, very comfortable and quiet. We stayed there multiple nights, it was hard to leave such a beautiful area.

One other positive note. We had a billing dispute with the booking agency. The manager helped us work through the problem with a favorable outcome. We'll be back.

"Great Two Nights"

Reviewed 29th April 2015 (Ruckstell, Comfort Texas)

This place was fantastic, on a quiet side street within easy walking distance to town and two fantastic owners who obviously care for their place and their customers. The company we booked with had put us in a studio, but the owner (Rennie) upgraded us to a one bedroom before we got there, which was great. Very accommodating and went out of their way to make sure we knew about local restaurants and had some great tips for attractions AND the weather that went a little south on us (snow!). When you remember a name you know the experience was a great one, the Arran Motel is just that.

We spent two nights in a one bedroom room that had everything we needed for a comfortable stay including a kitchenette and laundry facilities. The room was very clean and within walking distance to both the town centre and the lake. We found the area very peaceful and quite. We would recommended staying here to anyone.

"Perfect Location"

Reviewed 16th March 2015 (scotbrit1, United Kingdom)

We stayed two nights in a large very clean and comfortable room. We used the barbecue one evening and ate at an adjacent picnic table. The location is a little way from the town centre but there is a short walk to the lakeside and its wonderful views.
All rooms are at ground level and ideal for access by disabled.

"Excellent and More"

A beautifully presented two bedroom apartment. Exceptionally clean, and we just loved the presentation of bathroom products, towels etc. Comfortably furnished. Easy stroll into town centre. The whole complex is lovely and even though it was booked out it was very quiet. A true credit to the very friendly, helpful owners.

Rennie and Mary were exceptional hosts willingly assisted with our special requirements as we travelled with 2 people with disabilities. Their Koha spa products were lovely and the room was clean, tidy and very homely. I will return on my next holiday and highly recommend their motel for a quiet location in the beautiful town of Te Anau.

After not so nice accommodation in Queenstown it was nice to arrive here. The rooms were generously sized. Mary was helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean. Bed was comfortable and rooms were quiet. I could have easily stayed here longer.
